HR Manager & Brand Ambassador (Medical Sector)

Location: Bristol

Sector: Science

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: £40,000pa

The Role

We are seeking a dual-threat professional to join our leadership team. This isn’t your typical back-office HR role. You will be the heartbeat of our organisational culture and the primary face of our brand within the medical community.

As the HR Manager & Brand Ambassador, you will balance the technical precision required in healthcare compliance with the creative energy needed to promote our mission to candidates, partners, and the public.

Key Responsibilities

People & Culture (HR Manager)

  • Talent Acquisition: Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, sourcing top-tier medical and administrative talent who align with our clinical standards.

  • Compliance & Policy: Ensure all HR practices meet UK healthcare regulations, including DBS checks, right-to-work documentation, and occupational health requirements.

  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to staff, fostering a supportive environment that prioritises mental health and professional development.

  • Performance Management: Lead annual appraisals and clinical competency reviews to maintain high standards of patient care.

Brand Advocacy (Brand Ambassador)

  • Public Representation: Represent the company at medical conferences, university careers fairs, and industry networking events.

  • Employer Branding: Collaborate with marketing to create engaging content (social media, blogs, newsletters) that showcases our workplace culture and medical innovations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with medical boards, local health authorities, and recruitment partners.

  • Internal Communications: Ensure our mission and values are consistently communicated and celebrated within the team.

About You

  • Qualified: You hold a CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or have equivalent experience in human resources.

  • Industry Savvy: Previous experience within the medical or healthcare sector is essential. You understand the nuances of clinical staffing and regulatory pressures.

  • A Natural Communicator: You are as comfortable leading a disciplinary hearing as you are delivering a keynote at a healthcare seminar.

  • Strategic & Creative: You can switch from analysing turnover data to brainstorming a viral recruitment campaign without missing a beat.
